Quartz crystal microbalances
Quartz crystal analyzers (also called quartz crystal microbalances, EQCM), in combination with a potentiostat, allow for precise measurement of very small mass changes as a function of electrode potential and current during electrochemical experiment. These devices measure the resonant frequency and resonant resistance of quartz crystal with sputtered working electrode, thus giving the ability to measure very small changes in the mass of the electrode, f.ex. controlling thickness of electropolymerization or metals electrodeposition.
Quartz crystal microbalances can be connected to offered PREMIUM series BioLogic potentiostats and record data directly to the common software.
